Description
Sealing the sump plug on a unit 500 Triumph is probably one of the most unique problems on this machine. That and winding the kickstart spring. Our new billet aluminum drain plugs were developed after several customers asked for an improved sump plug, for the T100. Most other machines already have billet sump plates with some drain provision available. The 500 Triumph twin is finally getting some well deserved attention. (Plug also fits the 350 unit twin)
- Machined from high strength aluminum - Replacing the stock pot metal plugs that are prone to strip or cross thread.
- Plug has machined o-ring groove at case for better sealing than the stock fiber washer. This gasket surface not flat on many engine cases.
- Large 9/16 Whitworth hex for tightening. Not the low profile hex that gets rounded off on standard covers.
- 5/16-18UNC Drain Plug with inset magnet. This catches any ferrous debris that makes it through the filter screen. Sealed with supplied stato type sealing washer. Drain allows one to drain a wet sump without disturbing the larger sealed plug.
- Plug fits with in frame allowing use of skid plate on off road machines.
