How do I choose my options?
The option menus are dynamic; more options appear as you make certain choices.

Do I need copper core or suppression?
Most modern bikes have EFI and use suppression core.
Copper core is for a very hot spark needed for old school points or magneto systems. Our copper core is tinned for strength and longevity.

How should I measure my wire?
We basically measure from the metal terminal end to terminal end.
If you want to get further specific; we usually measure to the center of a 90 degree terminal end. On the universal coil terminal we usually measure the boots end because the terminal sticks out of the end boot. We make the wires as close as we can to an orders request.

What is the UFO-6040 Option?
The 6040 is a custom line we make to order that has a 60% color flake to 40% black ratio. The mix gives the grip a unique style that has dimensional appeal. These best match certain bikes similar to Harley's Hard Candy line of bikes.

How long will my wires take in production?
Our wires are the most time intensive items we make as everyone wants a different colors, sizes, and components. We also make make many other goods so these orders do take time. Each wire is custom made to order and can have a significant production period. We often cannot estimate a shipping time until the custom materials to make a completed kit get to the assembly phase.

On my universal kit; what are the 5/8" black ends used for?
Our wires are not like typical OEM wires. We include the black ends on the universal kits for the terminals to clamp into. You slide the black end on and butt it up to your wire as tight as possible and then clamp your terminal down into the black end. This area gets tucked into the end boot and heat shrink should be applied to the connection. We often do 2 layers of heat shrink (one short to seal the connection and a longer second to overlap for strength).  Heat shrink is usually supplied in these kits. There is further information in the items instructional sheet.

How should I care for my wires in the Sun?
To keep your flake in your wires, grips, or pegs as vibrant as possible; please do not leave them exposed to the sun for extended periods. Some folks leave their bikes sitting in the sun. Although all our goods have great UV inhibitors including the flake and rubber itself; the sun is very powerful and is only getting stronger. The Sun will fade anything including paint, rubber, and flake when exposed for a length of time. Please cover your custom goods when possible.
