THE BASE GIVES YOU THE SATURATION & THE FLAKE GIVES YOU SOME EXTRA FLAKE SHIMMER. THE BASE SHOULD BE THE SAME OR SIMILAR COLOR AS YOUR FLAKE COAT FOR ULTIMATE SATURATION OF THAT COLOR. BLACK OR SILVER BASE IS ALSO USED A LOT SO IT DEPENDS ON YOUR PROJECT. KANDY CANS ARE USED TO COLOR OR SHADE. THE FLAKE CANS HAVE A NICE FINE FLAKE. IF YOU WANT BIGGER FLAKES THEN YOU NEED TO USE A TRADITIONAL SPRAY GUN METHOD. ALSO A SOLID PRIMER COAT BEFORE THE BASE COAT IS NEEDED. A TOP QUALITY 2-PART EPOXY BASED PRIMER IS RECOMMENDED. MOST CUSTOMERS PURCHASE AT LEAST 2 CANS OF BASE AND FLAKE TO COMPLETE A SMALL PROJECT. DO FORGET THAT YOU ALSO NEED TO CLEAR COAT AFTER THE FLAKE COAT. WE OFFER A 2K CLEAR SPRAY CAN WHICH WORKS GREAT.
painting your custom guitar, hotrod, ratrod, chopper or whatever; has
never been easier. For maximum coverage we suggest using the same color
base flake; black, silver, and white are also good base colors to work
with.
Painters can get a big sparkle look with small flake (.004"); coverage goes to even the smallest edges. Colors are the same as the dry flake we sell. Base flake is also available. Ease of clean up! As graffiti enthusiast; there is nothing better then a spray can.
